Compression garments become necessary if you develop lymphoedema.
We stock several different brands of compression sleeves.
Ask our staff about information on reducing your risk of lymphoedema.
It is necessary for customers to be measured for these garments to ensure effective results.
We also have compression stockings and socks for travelling. These are suitable for both men and women.
Our garments have the following features
How long will I need to wear my garment?
Your surgeon will determine how long you should wear compression garments. The length of time will depend on the type and extent of the procedure and by your surgeon’s protocols.
Generally speaking, compression wear is used 24hrs a day, 7 days a week for several weeks.
Do I need more than one garment?
You must be given a recommendation to have two or more post-operative compression garments. Many doctors believe, and patients will verify that the more time spent wearing the garment the better.
Our compression garments require handwashing and air drying. Do not machine wash or dry clean as it will damage the garment. You can take your time washing the garment while you wear the other.
How do I know what garment to wear?
Ask our staff at Amanita. They will be able to advise you what garment is appropriate for your surgery. If you are unable to visit Amanita, it is important for you to provide us with your measurements so we can assure you get the right size garment.
Feel the difference.
Amanita recommends Marena ComfortWear.
Marena ComfortWear is the only line of compression garments made using F5 certified material. It is a new, revolutionary textile science that brings the top five important fabric characteristics together to create the most comfortable and effective compression wear available.
The fabric evenly presses the body, actually moulding to every curve like a very soft, second skin. Even better, it reacts to body heat and skin moisture to keep you cool and dry.
Our garments have:
Power/Stretch
3 dimensional stretch makes ComfortWear superior in providing supportive compression as it comfortably squeezes the patient’s body.
Softness
The fabric moulds like a second skin because it is made of Lycrasoft and Tactel fibres, certified as the softest, best performing textile available today
Durability
ComfortWeave fabric holds its shape even after 60,000 flexes and 30 extreme washes.
Antimicrobial
The first and only compression garment with permanent antimicrobial agents, Marena ComfortWear inhibits the growth of bacteria, microbes, mold and mildew, particularly valuable in a warm climate.
